Sandy-Damaged Clairmore Avenue Home Subjected to Criminal Mischief

Lacey police blotter from the past week

A Lacey resident reported that their Clairmore Avenue home that was damaged in Hurricane Sandy suffered further damage due to criminal mischief.

Extensive criminal mischief was done to the interior of the home, which was vacant at the time because it sustained flood damage.

The resident reported the incident on Nov. 30 but the incident is believed to have happened on Nov. 29. The investigation is ongoing.

Capt. David Paprota provided the following information: 

Dec. 3
Jamie Abel, 26, of Toms River was arrested on a DWI charge on Route 9 in Forked River at approximately 4:15 p.m. Due to her state of impairment, she was transported to Community Medical Center for medical treatment, Paprota said.

Nov. 28
Several items delivered by FedEx were stolen from the front porch of a Chelsea Street home in Forked River at approximately 1:45 p.m. The delivery was confirmed and the matter is under investigation. 

Nov. 27
Jason Drackwicz, 20, of Lanoka Harbor was arrested and charged with shoplifting from Walmart at 4:40 p.m. He allegedly stole $85 in items. 

Nov. 27
At 10 p.m. a 21-year-old Lanoka Harbor male overdosed on heroin. He was transported to Community Medical Center for further medical assistance. 

Nov. 30
At approximately 9:10 p.m. someone entered an unlocked car parked in front of a home on Tappan Street in Forked River. Cash was reported stolen and damage was done to the interior of a car. 

Dec. 2
At 4 p.m. someone entered a vehicle parked at a Clearview Street home and stole the owner’s wallet. 

Nov. 28
Dianne Connelly, 47, of Manahawkin was arrested at approximately 5:15 p.m. She was charged with allegedly shoplifting $42 worth of items from Walmart.
