Police Say Lacey Man "Pried" His Way Into Local Residence

A 30-year-old Lacey man was arrested Tuesday for burglarizing a Sunrise Beach home, police said.

Jeffrey Polyak was charged with burglary as well as theft of movable property, or  $7,500 worth of jewelry.

On Thursday, Nov. 28, the Lacey Township Police Department received a report of a residential burglary on Bowline Drive in the Sunrise Beach section of Forked River. After a three-week investigation, Detective Brian Flynn arrested Polyak of Greenwood Lane in Forked River.

The Bowline Drive home was forcibly entered by means of a bedroom window being pried open while the residents were not home, police said.

Polyak was transported to the Ocean County Correctional Facility with bail set at $25,000.
