Lacey Police Investigating Several Burglaries and Thefts



• Beach Boulevard - Sergeant Vincent Meehan and Officer Michael Hein responded to the 1200 block of Beach Boulevard in Forked River at 10:35 a.m. on May 4 for the unlawful entry of a garage, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

The victim reported that between March 30, 2014, and the report date, May 4, 2014, an unknown person or persons forced entry into the garage of the residence by forcing open a rear door. The garage was checked and there did not appear to be anything missing. It appears that the actual residence was not entered. The damage to the door is estimated at $50.

• South Street - On Tuesday, April 29, 2014, at 6:23 p.m., Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to a residence on South Street in Lanoka Harbor for a report of a burglary at 6:23 p.m. on April 29.

The victim reported that between 7:20 a.m. and 6:15 p.m. an unknown person or persons forced entry into the residence by kicking in a door. Once in the residence, the suspect or suspects stole property. Detective Sam Della Sala responded and assumed control of the investigation.

• Gille Park - On Saturday, May 3, 2014, at 7:55 p.m., Officer Michael Verwey took a report of a theft at Gille Park at 7:55 p.m. on May 3. The victim told police that at the during the day, at Gille Park soccer fields on Manchester Avenue, an unknown person or persons stole his Samsung Galaxy III cell phone valued at approximately $500.
