Police Report Rash Of Recent Spray-Painting, Criminal Mischief Incidents

  • Police Chief David A. Paprota reports that several criminal mischief incidents took place recently:
  • Officer Michael Hein responded to the 1600 block of Beverly Road in Forked River at 12:48 p.m. on March 31 for criminal mischief to a vehicle. The complainant reported that between 10 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, 2014 and 7 a.m. on March 31, 2014, an unknown person or persons spray-painted the word “Elite” on his vehicle in black spray-paint while it was parked in the driveway of his residence. The cost to remove the paint is estimated at $500.

  • Patrolman Hein also responded to the 1600 block of Joffre Road in Forked River at 11:09 a.m. March 31 on a criminal mischief report.  The complainant reported that between 6 p.m. on Sunday, March 30, and 10:45 a.m. on March 31,  an unknown person or persons spray-painted the words “Elite Squad HAA!!!” on the side of his garage in black spray-paint. The cost to remove the paint is estimated at $250.

  •  Patrolman John Simonson responded to Municipal Lane in Forked River at 10:59 a.m. on March 31 on a report of criminal mischief. The complainant reported that between Saturday, March 29, and Monday, March 31,  an unknown person or persons dented the passenger side door of his 2000 International Truck while it was parked in the parking lot. The damage is estimated at $200
