Police: Newark Man Sexually Assaulted Lacey Female Juveniles

Police release DWI arrests and information on residential burglaries

A Newark man was arrested and charged with sexually assaulting two Lacey female juveniles.

Manuel Ramos, 36, was arrested on Thursday, Feb. 16 after he allegedly assaulted two Lacey females under the age of 13, Executive Assistant Ocean County Prosecutor Michael A. Paulhus said.

After a joint investigation by the Lacey Township Police Department and the Ocean County Prosecutors Office, Ramos was charged with two counts of aggravated sexual assault, two counts of sexual assault and two counts of endangering the welfare of a child.

Ramos’ bail was set at $300,000, with no ten percent option. The judge also barred Ramos from having contact with the victims.

The relation to the victims and information surrounding the actual incident could not be released.

Feb. 20
Jason M. Vannorde, 32, of Bayville was arrested after a motor vehicle stop. Vannorde had an $8,000 warrant out of Monmouth County. He was sent to the Ocean County Jail.

Feb. 20
Chris Haines, 32, of Forked River was arrested after a motor vehicle stop. Haines was charged with DWI.

Feb. 19
Amanda Caparelli, 20, of Bayville was arrested for allegedly shoplifting from Walmart.

Feb. 18
Donald Douglas, 64, of Forked River was arrested after a motor vehicle stop. Douglas was charged with DWI.

Feb. 18
Police responded to a home on Twin River Drive in Forked River after a resident reported a burglary. Someone entered the home by smashing the rear door of the basement. Nothing was reported stolen.

Feb. 16
A resident on Stony Point Drive in Forked River reported an attempted burglary. Someone used an object to smash the rear door. Another door prevented entry. Police are not disclosing further information.

Feb. 16
A resident of Lelani Drive in Forked River reported that their home was burglarized during the evening hours. The rear door was smashed. Police checked the surrounding homes and found that burglaries were attempted at two more homes. One of the homes was ransacked. Police are not disclosing additional information.

Feb. 16
A home on Jacqueline Court in Forked River was burglarized. An object was used to smash the rear door. Nothing was reported stolen.

Feb. 16
Dawn Lagnese, 43, of Bayville was arrested after a motor vehicle stop and charged with DWI.

Feb. 15
A home on Jacqueline Court was entered. The rear glass door was shattered. Jewelry was stolen.
