Police: Lacey Teen Arrested For Attempted Burglaries
A 17-year-old male was charged with attempted burglary and criminal mischief
A 17-year old Forked River male was arrested in relation to an attempted break in to a home on Clairmore Avenue, police said.
Police received a call in reference to a suspicious male at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 15. The male was reportedly walking through the backyards of homes near Clairmore Avenue and Burnnell Street.
Another caller reported that a male, matching the same description, attempted to break into a home on Clairmore Avenue. Patrolman Pearce responded to that home and confirmed that a rear window had been broken.

It was discovered that an attempt was made on another home on Bunnell Street, police said.
Shortly after, police conducted a traffic stop on Clairmore Avenue, which led to the arrest of the 17-year-old male.

The male was a passenger in a vehicle driven by his mother. He was charged with two counts of attempted burglary and one count of criminal mischief. He was sent to the Ocean County Juvenile Detention pending a hearing.
The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department and Criminal Investigation Unit are investigating the incident.
