Police: Lacey Man Reported Unconscious at Meadowlark Beach

A Forked River man received drug charges after he was located in a motor vehicle at Meadowlark Beach in Lanoka Harbor.

An investigation led to the arrest of Matthew Conrad, 21, after a resident reported a suspicious male possibly unconscious in a pickup truck at Meadowlark Beach.

Conrad was charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. He also received a motor vehicle summons for possessing a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

He was processed and released.

A homeowner on Norwood Street reported that someone stole mail, including a package valued at $20. 

Jan. 8
A resident of East Hickory Drive in Lanoka Harbor reported that someone stole an exterior security camera valued at $300.

Police reported to a Lacey Road home located west of the Garden State Parkway where a resident reported that someone stole $2,000 from the home. There was no sign of forced entry.

Police and emergency services responded to a motor vehicle accident near Route 9 southbound and First Street at 12:30 a.m. A 2003 Chevy S-10 pickup truck driven by Vasilio Koutsogiannis, 36, of Barnegat struck a utility pole.

Koutsogiannis was transported to Jersey Shore Medical Center to be treated for injuries sustained in the accident.

The pole sustained heavy damage and JCP&L came out for repairs.

Koutsogiannis is stable at Jersey Shore Medical Center.

The investigation is ongoing and traffic citations are forthcoming.
