Police: Forked River Resident Beaten by Robbers

Two white males made a forced entry into the home, punched the victim several times and stole a small amount of cash

A Forked River resident reported a robbery of his Thomas Lane home after he was beaten by the suspects, police said.

At approximately 3:58 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 28, police responded to the home.

The victim, whose name is being withheld, reported that at 2:45 p.m. two white males pushed their way into his house and punched him several times before rummaging through the home.

The suspects left the home after taking a small amount of cash.

One suspect threatened to harm the victim with a weapon but no gun was observed, police said.

The victim was transported to Community Medical Center for treatment.

Detective James Wood is continuing the investigation with the assistance of the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigation Unit.
