Police, Bounty Hunter Nab Wanted Waretown Pair On Thanksgiving Night

Cops: both had warrants, one had hypodermic syringes as well

Police assisted a bounty hunter who captured two wanted Waretown residents at about 7 p.m. Thanksgiving night.

A bounty hunter for 007 Bail Bonds found the pair at Party Lane on Route 37 and held them on the ground until police arrived, said Toms River Chief Michael Mastronardy.

Alexander Ortiz, 34, and Nicole Cicalese, 30, both of Ocean Avenue, were arrested.

Ortiz had an active warrant from the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department for $27,000 bail and Cicalese had numerous warrants from Lakewood, Toms River and Washington Township as well as a $50,000 Ocean County warrant, Mastronardy said.

When arrested on the warrants, Ortiz had two hypodermic syringes in his possession and was additionally charged with that violation by Officer Brent Mundy, Mastronardy said.

Both were booked into the Ocean County Jail.
