Police Blotter: Vandal Continues to Tag Businesses with Graffiti

Graffiti consisting of 'Skrap' found on local businesses

The Lacey Township Police Department responded to criminal mischief at the Lanoka Plaza on Route 9 on March 4.

The exterior walls of the building, a rear door, and a trailer parked in the parking lot were damaged with blue spray paint.

The graffiti consisted of “Skrap,” “SBS,” and “Skrap Strikes again.” The estimated cost of the damage is yet to be determined.

This incident is connected to last week’s criminal mischief where multiple businesses were defaced with graffiti damage including Walmart, Kiwanis, the Laurel Plaza and Lacey Used Auto Parts.

The graffiti for each of the above incidences consisted of the word “Scrap.”

March 7

The power source to the exterior sign at Latitudes on the River Restaurant in Forked River was cut off and the sign’s lights were found damaged. The estimated damage is $500.

March 7

A men’s ring valued at $1,500 was stolen from a home on Clubhouse Drive in Forked River. There was no forced entry.

March 6

Alex Camacho, 25, of Forked River was pulled over at 1:10 a.m. on suspicion of drunken driving. Camacho was issued six tickets: DWI in a school zone, refusal, improper turn, failure to maintain lane, reckless driving, and impeding the flow of traffic.

A Bose Wave Radio was stolen from the front porch on Pensacola Road in Forked River, after being delivered by UPS. Value of the radio is $500.

A home on Hollywood Boulevard in Forked River was forcibly entered, and $300 in cash as well as jewelry was stolen. A complete property list has not been finished. The investigation is ongoing.

March 5

A car that was parked at Mill Pond Elementary School had $250 worth of damage. The vehicle was keyed.

Staci Grogan, 39, of Forked River was arrested on a $250 warrant issued by the Waretown Court. Bail was posted and Grogan was released.

March 4

A 4-foot round steel table was stolen from the front porch at a residence on Elwood Street in Forked River. The table was valued at $100.

March 3

Jamie Gardner, 23, of Toms River was stopped on suspicion of drunken driving. Investigation on the scene led to the following tickets: DWI, refusal to submit to a breath test, reckless driving, failure to maintain lane, and failure to exhibit drivers license and insurance card. Gardner also had a warrant for $750 from South Toms River. She posted bail and was released on the warrant.

March 3

Justin Fendelander, 29, of Barnegat was charged with DWI, reckless driving, unregistered vehicle, failure to exhibit registration, and possession of an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle. Police reported to the Wawa on Route 9 near Taylor Lane at approximately 9:15 p.m. where Fendelander was found sleeping in a vehicle.

March 3

A black Apple iPod Touch valued at $245 was stolen during a gathering at a home on Adolphus Street in Forked River.

March 2

A vehicle parked in the parking lot of the Pheasant Run Club House in Forked River sustained damage. The rear driver’s side window was smashed and the rear driver’s side taillight was cracked. The estimated damage is $300.

March 1

A residence on Brookdale Park Drive in Forked River was burglarized. A wristwatch valued at $75 and $700 in cash was stolen. There was no forced entry. The investigation is ongoing.

March 1

A vehicle parked in the parking lot at Tre’ Chic Salon on North Main Street in Lanoka Harbor sustained damage. The front passenger window was shattered. Estimated damage is $200.

March 1

Nicholas Listorti, 23, of Waretown was pulled over in his vehicle at 3 p.m. Listorti was issued two tickets, one for driving while suspended and another for failure to observe traffic signal. He also had an outstanding warrant of $165 out of Bridgewater, New Jersey. Listorti posted bail on the warrant.

March 1

Keith Hestermann Jr., 21, of Forked River was arrested by the Ocean Township Police Department. Lacey police responded and served upon him a Lacey Township warrant of $250 and another Lacey warrant for $500. Hestermann was also found to have a warrant out of Little Egg Harbor for $600. Hestermann was unable to post bail and was transported to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of his bail.
