Police Blotter: Manahawkin Woman Charged With Forging Prescription Blank

Police blotter from May 31 to June 6

A Manahawkin resident was arrested by Lacey Township Police Department and charged with forging a prescription blank.

Emily Nicholson, 28, was arrested on June 1 and charged with one count of criminal attempt to utter a forged prescription blank.

On May 13, 2011, Nicholson attempted to use a counterfeit prescription blank at Walmart in Lanoka Harbor.

Her bail was set at $25,000 and she was sent to Ocean County Jail.

Police reported to a residence on Sweetwood Drive in Forked River for a complaint of stolen copper wire. HVAC ductwork components valued at 400 were stolen from the backyard.

A bike valued at $430 on Devon Street in Forked River.

A Customer at T.J. Maxx in Forked River misplaced their wallet. Someone stole $150 in cash from the wallet as well as a credit card and drivers license.

There was $50 worth of damage to the locking mechanism on the skate park at Gille Park.

At 1:30 p.m. the police responded to a report of someone banging on the back door of a residence on Michelle Court in Lanoka Harbor. Christopher Schramm, 23, of Waretown. After the police inquired Schramm, they discovered that he had warrant for $458 from Ocean Township Court.

Two tires, valued at $300, to a motor vehicle were slashed at the Lacey Township North Dock. The police responded to the scene at 11 p.m. Pearce took report at Lacey Township North Dock. 11 p.m.

A resident of Bayville reported that they left their pocketbook inside JT’s Bagel Hut in Forked River. When they returned to the store 20 minutes later, the pocketbook was missing. The total value of the wallet and personal ID is $30.

A resident on Frog Hollow Road in Forked River reported that a diamond ring valued at $700 was stolen from their home. There was no forced entry.

A Lacey resident reported that someone entered their car and stole a $40 gift card. The car was parked at a Route 9 business.

A $25 American flag, a five-foot flag post, and a hanging basket were stolen from a home on Oak Street in Forked River. The total value of the stolen items was $40.

Shaun McCabe, 21, of Whiting was arrested and charged for shoplifting from Wawa at the intersection of Route 9 and Taylor Lane. McCabe also had an outstanding warrant of $164 from Robbinsville Township. McCabe posted bail on his warrant. He also received a summons for shoplifting. A 16-year-old girl from Waretown was also arrested and released to her mother pending juvenile complaints for shoplifting.

A resident of Lanoka Harbor was visiting a friend of Chelsea Street in Forked River. Their unlocked vehicle was entered and a $250 iPod was stolen.

June 1

At 6:30 p.m., Michael Petrowski, 42, of New Egypt was arrested on a no bail warrant for a parole violation. Petrowski was turned over to the Ocean County Jail.

June 1

After checking the Bamber Lake dam area and park at 2:37 a.m., Brandon Weaver, 20, of Forked River was arrested. Weaver had two outstanding arrest warrants from Sayreville both in the amount of $1,000. Weaver was unable to post bail and was taken to headquarters. A family member of Weaver’s posted bail.

After a motor vehicle stop at 11:34 p.m., Liza Whited, 46, of Forked River; Salvatore Distefano, 25, of Barnegat; and Kimberlyann Ridgeway, 29, of Forked River were arrested and charged with possession of heroin and possession of 50 glassine decks. The three were released.

May 31

Police reported to a residence on Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor, where someone stole a high school ring valued at $300. There was no forced entry.

There was damage and items stolen from South River Field and Stream Club. The damage of the building and fence was estimated at $500. Approximately $600 worth of property was stolen, including two mounted deer heads and lanterns.
