Police Blotter: Intoxicated Man Arrested After Trespassing at Oyster Creek

From March 31 to April 4

Police reported to Oyster Creek Generating Station at 2 a.m. April 1 after a report of an intoxicated male driving up to the power plant’s security checkpoint at the main gate.

Henry Falcon, 40, of Bayville was detained by the nuclear plant’s security after he pulled up to the security checkpoint drunk, police said.

Subsequent investigation led to Falcon being charged with DWI, reckless driving, and possession of a prohibited weapon. Falcon was carrying brass knuckles, police said.

Lacey Liquors on Route 9 in Forked River was burglarized at 11 p.m.

The Lacey Township Police Department found that the building had been forcibly entered, causing approximately $1,000 in damage.

Stolen was $100 in assorted liquor. $50 of the stolen alcohol was recovered outside the store.

The police were assisted by the Ocean County Sheriff’s Department, K-9 Unit, and CIU.

An investigation is ongoing.

April 4

A stall in the ladies bathroom at Gille Park was damaged. A door to a stall was broken. Repair costs were estimated at $500.

April 3

Siobain Tortorici, 32, of Waretown was arrested at approximately 6:40 a.m.

Tortorici was seen driving on Route 9. Her vehicle was severely damaged on the passenger side, and it was being operated without a front tire on the passenger side, police said.

Police pulled Tortorici over and charged her with DWI, reckless driving and being an uninsured motorist.

April 3

A resident on Capstand Drive reported that two brass boat propellers, valued at $150, were stolen from the yard. The propellers were being used as road decorations.

April 2

A resident on Devon Street in Forked River discovered that a ring valued at $1,200 was taken from their residence. There was no sign of forced entry.

April 2

Steven Weidencamp, 18, of Lanoka Harbor was arrested at 7:30 p.m.

Police were dispatched to Lake Barnegat Drive and Stony Park Drive in Forked River after a report of a suspicious male.

Weidencamp was charged with possession of marijuana, resisting arrest, and two counts of aggravated assault on police. Bail was set at $20,000. Weidencamp was unable to post bail and is at jail.

March 31

The police responded to a residence on Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor after receiving a complaint of loud music coming from the garage.

Guest Shawn Wrazen, 31, was arrested. Wrazen had an outstanding $160 arrest warrant out of Newark, a $500 Lacey Township warrant, and a $1,039 Ocean Township warrant. Wrazen was taken to Ocean County Jail.

March 30

A resident of Claremore Avenue reported that someone stole 95 oxycodone pills. The home was not broken into.

March 29

The property owner of Forked River House reported that a cement pillar in front of the building was damaged. It is believed that a vehicle struck the pillar causing approximately $500 in damage.

March 26

Police responded to a Route 9 and Laurel Boulevard accident at 7:44 p.m.

After the investigation, it was discovered that driver Tamara Shepard, 27, of Forked River was intoxicated, police said.

Shepard received tickets for driving while intoxicated, driving under the influence with a minor as a passenger, reckless driving, and right of way at an intersection violation.

March 29

Melanie Montanaro, 25, of Barnegat was arrested and charged after a Forked River resident reported that someone used their credit card account number to make $2,200 in purchases.

An investigation led to the arrest of Montanaro. Montanaro was charged with one count of theft of a credit card and three counts of fraudulently using a credit card.
