Police: Resident Assaulted Man at Forked River House

Arrests made for assault, theft and shoplifting

A Forked River man was arrested after an assault took place outside of the Forked River House, police said.

Anthony Spina, 28, was arrested after police were dispatched to the restaurant via a 911 call at 6:05 a.m. Jan. 1.

A 31-year-old male from Brick was injured during an assault and taken to Community Medical Center where he was treated for an intra-cranial hemorrhage, police said.

Spina was charged with one count of aggravated assault. He posted bail, which was set at $50,000 with no 10 percent option.

Spina also was found to have a $301 outstanding warrant issued by the Seaside Heights Municipal Court. He posted bail on the warrant.

Jan. 2
Three Barnegat men were arrested on charges of stealing from Lacey Used Auto Parts.

Kenneth Allebach, 47, Carlo Disalvo, 39, and Edward Deller, 30, were arrested and charged with one count of theft.

Police were dispatched to the auto business where a radiator for a Honda valued at $85 was stolen.

Lacey Used Auto Parts reported the incident and provided police with a description of a vehicle. Lacey police located the vehicle heading south on Route 9 and made a motor vehicle stop.

Allebach and Disalvo were released on a summons. Deller was found to have an $800 outstanding Stafford warrant and was released on his own recognizance.

Michael Furfaro, 25, of Ocean Grove was charged with DWI, reckless driving and improper left turn. Police saw Furfaro’s vehicle making an improper left turn off of Lacey Road to a convenience store at 10:30 p.m.

A residence on South River Drive that is currently unoccupied sustained over $1,600 worth of damage including a shattered sliding glass door and six damaged window screens.

Dec. 31
A resident of Forked River reported that someone entered an unlock vehicle parked in a driveway on Princeton Avenue in Lanoka Harbor. A Garmin GPS Nuvi valued at $200 was stolen.

A Forked River resident reported that their Yamaha Yankee Zebra Frank 450R blue quad, which was being stored outside and unsecured on Capshaw Road in the Bamber section of Lacey Township, was stolen. The quad was valued at $1,000.

Police reported to a home on Enterprise Drive in Forked River where a 47-inch LG flat screen television that was mounted on a wall was stolen. The TV was valued at $675 and there was no forced entry.

Dec. 30
Police responded to a residence on Bridge Creek Lane in Forked River where a burglary took place. There was no forced entry and an estimated $5,000 worth of jewelry was stolen. Detective Ronald Buxton of Lacey Township, the Ocean County Sherriff’s Department’s Criminal Investigations Unit and K-9 Unit also responded. The incident is still under investigation.

Dec. 30
Erin Murphy, 23, and Stephani Saunders, 22, both of Bayville were arrested in relation to shoplifting from the Lanoka Harbor Walmart. Murphy allegedly stole $111.44 worth of merchandise while Saunders allegedly stole $64.04 worth of merchandise.

When arrested, Murphy was found in possession of .50 grams of marijuana or less. She also had a $500 outstanding warrant from Seaside Heights and a $139 warrant from South Toms River.

Saunders was charged with shoplifting and was sent to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $2,500. She could not post bail.

Murphy was charged with shoplifting with her total bail, including the warrants, set at $3,100.

Police reported to Ted and Sons Marina in Forked River where a resident’s boat stored on land was entered. Stolen were four fishing poles, which were outfitted with reels. The value of the stolen property was $1,635.
