POLICE BLOTTER: 2 Hurt In Friday Crash

A man and a woman suffered head injuries in the crash at Haines and Manchester; a 28-year-old man is seriously injured in a fall

Two people were taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center in Neptune on Friday morning after a two-vehicle accident at the intersection of Haines Street and Manchester Avenue, police said.

According to Lacey police, Sondra Tate, 36, of Lanoka Harbor and Raymond Lopez, 38, of the Bronx, were taken to Jersey Shore with head injuries. Information on their conditions was not available on Saturday.

Police reported that Tate was driving a Nissan Maxima, waiting to make a left turn from Haines Street onto Manchester Avenue southbound and turned into the path of a Ford F150 pickup driven by John Mitchell, 51, of Lanoka Harbor. Lopez was a passenger in Tate’s vehicle.

No charges have been filed in the accident, police said.

A 28-year-old man was taken to Jersey Shore University Medical Center on Saturday with what police described as a severe head injury suffered in a fall, according to a police report.

Police were called to a Seabright Road address about 2:45 p.m. for a report of a fall and found the injured man. He was airlifted to Jersey Shore by MONOC First Aid. Also responding was Lacey EMS.

No information on the victim’s condition was available. Police were withholding his name pending notification of family members.
