A Toms River man wanted for two outstanding warrants was arrested recently after police responded to a report of a suspicious man ringing doorbells and asking to use phones, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer Charles May responded to the calls in the Pheasant Run development on Llewellyn Parkway near the intersection with Canterbury Drive in Forked River at 8:48 p.m. on April 21, the chief said.
The investigation led to the arrest of John Humphrey, 35, McCormack Drive, Toms River for two outstanding traffic warrants. The first warrant was issued by the Seaside Park Municipal Court in the amount of $89. The second warrant was issued by the Toms River Municipal Court in the amount of $145, Paprota said.
John Humphrey posted cash bail for the warrants and was released from police headquarters, the chief said.
