Police Arrest Forked River Woman For Drunk Driving After Five-Car Crash

Additional charges are pending, police chief says


Lacey police recently arrested a Llewellyn Parkway woman and charged her with driving under the influence after a five-car crash at the intersection of Route 9 and Sunrise Boulevard, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Scott Keefe responded to the scene at 3:24 p.m. on July 9. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of 53-year-old Jacquelin Maclachlan, 53, for DUI. Investigated revealed that Maclaclan caused the crash, which resulted in several injuries, the chief said.

She was taken to police headquarters and processed. Maclachlan was also given summonses for reckless driving and failure to maintain lane. The investigation is continuing and additional charges are pending, Paprota said.
