Police: 2 Lacey Males in Jail Following Burglary Investigation

The county K-9 unit was utilized to track suspects to another home

Two Lanoka Harbor males have been charged with the burglary of a Hemlock Drive home.

Kyle Pianetti, 20, and Jeffrey Burgoyne, 18 were arrested after police responded to a Hemlock Drive home on Sept. 7 in reference to a possible burglary.

The caller stated that he observed a white male leaving the rear yard of his neighbor’s residence with a power washer, police said. Upon arrival, police determined the home had been burglarized.

Police obtained a description of the suspects and an Ocean County Sheriff’s Department K-9 Unit responded to the scene and tracked them to a Briar Road home.

Police observed Burgoyne allegedly leaving the Briar Road home on foot. He was arrested and found to have discarded stolen property in close proximity to where he had stopped, police said.

Pianetti was found at his Briar Road residence.

Additional stolen property was located in the rear yard of the Brian Road home, police said.

Both Pianetti and Burgoyne were arrested and charged with burglary, theft and criminal mischief. Bail was set at $25,000 for each and both males were sent to Ocean County Jail.

The Ocean County Sheriff’s Department Criminal Investigations Unit also assisted in the investigation.

Pianetti has been previously charged:

  • Pianetti was found with a Husquarn Chainsaw valued at $290, which was originally reported stolen on Feb. 6 from a residence on Leilani Drive, Forked River.
  • He was charged and released at the scene. 
  • for allegedly damaging the property of Lacey Liquors.
