A Lakewood man crashed his motor vehicle into the McDonald's on Route 9 in Lacey Township this afternoon, closing the dining room for the day.
There were no reported injuries to the driver, the passenger or any customers or employees of the restaurant, police said.
"At approximately 2:29 p.m. a passenger car drove through the north side of McDonald's. The passenger car, a 1998 Volvo S 70, being driven by Robert Craven, 73, failed to stop while attempting to park within a parking stall. The vehicle continued over the curb, across the sidewalk and into the building," a news release stated.

An approximate 6-foot-by-12-foot section of aluminum and glass of the restaurant's wall was heavily damaged, police said.
The involved vehicle sustained minor frontal damage.

As a result of the accident, McDonald's has closed its dining room.
The drive-through, located on the opposite side of the building, remains open.
The Lacey Township construction official has examined the building, police said. The accident remains under investigation.
