Multi-Department Raid Results in Drug Arrests

Kyle Marrero and Kevin Edinger were arrested for alleged possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute; additional arrests are expected

Two Lanoka Harbor men were arrested for alleged possession of drugs after Detectives from the Prosecutor’s Special Operations Group and Lacey Township Police executed a search warrant.

Kyle Marrero, 31 and Kevin Edinger, 32, both of 705 Hazelton Avenue, were charged with possession of marijuana and more on Thursday, Jan. 19.

As a result of the search warrant, police found approximately four pounds of marijuana valued around $20,000. They also found assorted drug paraphernalia including a digital scale and packaging materials, which are associated with the distribution of controlled dangerous substances, police said.

Marrero was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $50,000 with no 10 percent option.

Edinger was charged with possession of marijuana with the intent to distribute, possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia. His bail was set at $25,000 with no 10 percent option.

The investigation is ongoing and additional arrests are expected.

The Lacey Township Police Department, Ocean County Regional SWAT Team and the Ocean County Sheriffs Department K-9 Unit assisted in the investigation.
