Police: Man Arrested for DWI, Fleeing Scene After Crash
Others arrested for outstanding warrants
A Forked River man was arrested for allegedly driving while intoxicated after he crashed a motor vehicle and fled the scene of the accident, officials said.
Andrew Simons III, 22, allegedly struck a pole on the corner of Seaside Drive and Beach Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor at approximately 1:38 a.m. on Thursday, Oct. 13.
Simons and the vehicle were located at a residence on Beach Boulevard. He also had a $250 outstanding warrant out of Pine Beach.

Oct. 17
James Shilling, 30, of Forked River was arrested for two outstanding warrants totaling $23,638 after a motor vehicle stop. Shilling was also issued a summons for driving while suspended. He was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.

Oct. 17
Two males were observed utilizing decorative stone rock to smash the driver’s rear window of a car parked on Alpine Street in Forked River at 2:44 a.m. The males stole a purse valued at approximately $25 and left the area by bicycle.
Oct. 14
Abigail Thomson, 26, of Clairmore Avenue in Lanoka Harbor was arrested for outstanding warrants in the amount of $5,155. Thomson was lodged in the Ocean County Jail.
