A 16-year-old Lacey male has been arrested and charged with animal cruelty after he killed a squirrel with a skateboard at Gille Park, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.
Officer John Simonson responded to a report at 3:47 p.m. on April 25 of a male juvenile being chased by a group of juveniles, the chief said.
Investigation by Officer Simonson indicated that the male being chased had just purposely killed a gray squirrel with a skateboard, Paprota said.
The juvenile suspect was taken into custody and charges have been forwarded to the juvenile court for the cruelty, the chief said.
