Lanoka Harbor Woman Arrested At CVS Store

Bail Set for Shoplifting, Resisting Arrest and Drug-Related Offenses

A suspected shoplifting incident at the CVS Pharmacy on Route 9 in Lanoka Harbor led to an arrest for numerous other charges for a 21-year-old Lanoka Harbor woman.

Brittany Giresi, Michelle Court, was arrested by Patrolman John Simonson Thursday afternoon for possession of stolen property, resisting arrest by flight, possession of drug paraphernalia, possession of hypodermic needles, and obstructing the administration of law.

According to the police report:  Simonson responded to a call from CVS in reference to a shoplifter that had left the store. While  Simonson was speaking with the store manager, Giresi entered  the store  and attempted to return stolen merchandise. When Simonson approached her she refused to speak with him and ran from the store. After repeated requests for her to stop, Simonson was able to detain her.
