Lacey Woman Gives False Name During Traffic Stop

A Forked River woman has been charged with hindering her own arrest after police recently stopped her for speeding, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Special Officer Jesse Urban conducted the stop at 9:48 a.m. on April 12 on Lake Barnegat Drive and Steuben Avenue because the motorist was speeding, the chief said.

The driver told Urban that she did not have her license or any other identification on her. But she identified herself by a false name of a woman from Little Egg Harbor, Paprota said.

Upon further investigation, it was determined that the driver was actually Amanda Cicerello, 30, of 1680 Joffre Road in Forked River. Cicerello had a suspended driver’s license and was subsequently arrested for hindering her own apprehension by providing false information to a law enforcement officer, the chief said.

Cicerello was transported to Lacey Township police headquarters where she was processed and released on a criminal summons, he said.
