Lacey Weathers The Storms

Lacey Township came through this morning's storms with little impact, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Unlike Stafford Township to the south, Lacey had no power outages, downed trees or wires, the chief said.

"There are no reported power outages at this point," Paprota said around noon today. "Both Pensacola Road in Forked River Beach and Canterbury Drive in the Pheasant Run section of Forked River each experienced significant temporary roadway flooding."

The story was markedly different in Stafford. Capt. Thomas Dillane either a tornado or "wind event" ripped through sections of the township. Fallen trees and downed power lines are scattered throughout the township.
