Lacey Residents Arrested on Outstanding Warrants

Two township residents were arrested over the past several days for having outstanding warrants, police said.

Robert M. Sitler, 34, of Forked River was arrested after a Nov. 9 traffic stop on Lake Barnegat Drive North and Brentwood Road. An investigation after the stop showed Sitler had four outstanding warrants, police said, including two (worth $500 and $300) from Lacey, a $500 warrant from Brick and a $500 warrant from Beachwood.

Sitler was later lodged in the Ocean County Jail in default of bail, though a check of jail records early Wednesday showed he was no longer an inmate.

On Monday, Officers Jeffrey Slota and Anthony Sarno responded to the 600 block of Fairview Lane in Forked River to serve warrants. There, they found 27-year-old Michael R. Clancy of Forked River and placed him under arrest on two warrants out of Lawrenceville worth $750, police said in a statement.

Clancy was transported to police headquarters and was later turned over to the custody of Robbinsville Police.
