Lacey Police Officer Sustains Minor Injuries After Accidental Shooting

Police officer's weapon accidently discharges after training, injuring one

A Lacey Township police officer sustained injuries after an officer’s weapon accidently discharged, officials said.

At approximately 8:50 p.m. a police officer’s weapon accidently discharged within the department’s squad room after a training exercise.

One police officer suffered minor injuries and was transported to Community Medical Center.

The names of those involved in the incident were not released.

The incident is under investigation.
