Lacey police are investigating reports of a theft and a criminal mischief incident at the Lanoka Harbor Marina on Bay Way, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Michael Hein responded to a theft report at 9:20 a.m. on March 26. A boat owner told police that he had learned that someone saw two subjects - possibly juveniles - on his dry-docked boat the previous night around 7 p.m., the chief said.

When the owner went to check on his boat, he discovered that four "Ugly Stick" fishing poles valued at $150 each and a pair of binoculars valued at $100, had been stolen. The total theft is estimated at $700, Paprota said.

In the second incident, on the same day, at 6:20 p.m., Officer Evan Androcy responded to the marina on for damage to a boat. The owner told police that someonehad damaged a window screen and custom blinds within the past two weeks, while it was dry-docked. The damage was estimated at $300, the chief said.

Both incidents are under investigation, the chief said.
