Lacey Police Investigate Several Air Conditioning Unit Thefts


Maybe it's the heat, maybe it's something else.

Lacey police are investigating the thefts of several air conditioning units recently, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Daniel Ricciardella responded to Convexserv Technology located at 118 Route 9 North in Forked River, on May 30, on a report of a stolen air conditioner condenser. The manager reported that over the last two weeks an unknown person or persons stole the air conditioning compressor from the central air conditioning unit behind the business. The air conditioning unit is valued at $3,000, Paprota said.


Officer Scott Keefe responded to Tony’s General Merchandise at 1015 Lacey Road in Forked River on May 30 on a theft report, the chief said.

The employees reported that between May 29 and May 30 someone stole the air conditioning unit behind the River Church section of the plaza. An employee told police that a customer had seen a brown mustang parking on the side of the complex before the theft is believed to have occurred.o have occurred. The air conditioning unit is valued at $3,200, Paprota said.
