Manahawkin Woman Found Sleeping On Lacey Sidewalk Charged With Disorderly Conduct

Woman appeared to be "highly intoxicated," taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River

Lacey police recently arrested a Manahawkin woman who was found lying on the sidewalk outside of the Wawa store on Route 9 with disorderly conduct, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Manahawkin woman who was found sleeping on the side of the Wawa store on Route 9 South in Forked River has been charged with disorderly conduct, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

When Patrolman Dimitri Tsarnas arrived, he tried to speak with Evelyn Riccardi, 47, Spinnaker Avenue, who was lying on the sidewalk on the south side of the store.

Riccardi was awake, but appeared to be highly intoxicated. She became belligerent and caused a disturbance in front of customers, the chief said.

The Lacey Township First Aid Squad responded and transported Riccardi to Community Medical Center in Toms River, due to her high level of intoxication, Paprota said.

She was later issued a complaint summons for disorderly conduct, he said.
