UPDATE: Lacey Police Charge County Jail Warden's Relative With Drunk Driving, Other Offenses

Lacey police recently arrested a relative of the Ocean County Jail warden and charged him with drunk driving and a variety of motor vehicle offenses.

Police conducted a motor vehicle stop at 12:43 a.m. on May 11 that ended in the parking lot of the Forked River Freezer's parking lot at 308 Route 9 South in Forked River, according to the police blotter.

Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Theodore J. Hutler III, 38, of Forked River for driving under the influence, police said.

Hutler was taken to police headquarters, where he was also charged with refusal to submit to sobriety tests, reckless driving, failure to observe a stop sign, speeding, failure to maintain lane and failure to exhibit required documents, police said.

Hutler was released and his car was impounded as per John's Law.
