Jacob Barney Arrested At Sea Pine Inn In Waretown

Lacey police today apprehended a fourth suspect in an assault and robbery incident that took place outside of the Spirits Unlimited liquor store, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

The fourth suspect, 21-year-old Jacob Barney of Forked River, was arrested by Detective Samuel Della Sala after he was located at the Sea Pine Inn in Waretown. Barney was taken to the Ocean County Jail in Toms River in lieu of $75,000 bail, the chief said.

Barney is one of four suspects in the April 8 assault and robbery of  a man behind the Spirits Unlimited liquor store on Tuesday night, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officers Andrew Slota, Dimitri Tsarnas, George Resetar, Michael Verwey, and Sergeant Ronald Buxton respond to a call that the victim was bleeding badly and needed medical attention, Paprota said.

Joseph J. Caputo IV, 24,  Forked River, was transported to Community Medical Center in Toms River for treatment of injuries suffered during the assault and robbery, the chief said.

The four assailants were reported to have fled the scene on foot, but three were later located and arrested, he said.

Police arrested Anthony O. Baisi, 20, 1618 Ewart Rd., Forked River;  Shawn C. Kaliske, 22, 15 Hastings Road Forked River, and a  17-year-old male juvenile from Forked River, Paprota said.

They need to be sent to a boot camp out in the mountains ! A one way ticket... so that they don't come back to the same environment and get caught up in it all over again !

Here we go again... another bunch of herion addicts that were caught Thank God.. There is such a bad element in this town now that people are moving out left and right.. What use to be a nice town where people use to want to live in is now one of the most drug infested places in NJ.. Dont the parents of these kids know what they are doing or at least recognize the signs?? Parents need to open their eyes and really take a good look at their kids to see what is going on with them.. Keep ignoring the facts people and soon you too could be going to your own childs funeral.. Its no laughing matter now between all of the robberies and drugs this town is getting right up their with Camden and Newark.. Its a dam shame

I feel for the parents & families of these guys arrested. After 18, short of killing these kids, what's a parent to do. Sounds like a few are out on the streets, it must be heartbreaking to throw your child out of the house. Sometimes one has to be completely down before they realize what they've done to themselves and their family. Hopefully these guys will now wake up and want to straighten up.

Dont count on it make my day.. its a great thought you have that if these guys wake up they will want to straighten up but when it comes to addiction they will choose drugs first.. WE are loosing our youth to this stuff and we all feel helpless .. Why tell me why these kids would even stick a needle in them knowing that its gonna lead to them being stuck on this drug?? Dont any of them get scared anymore or think twice? or is it so cool to do this that its what they want to be?? I just dont get it anymore. when these kids are picked up for the herion use they really need to be locked up and sit in jail for a long time until they see the light of day.. its heartbreaking for the family and the parents but tough love is the only way now.. no more Poor Billy or Johnny not my son .. its YOU DID IT NOW YOU SUFFER THE Outcome.. otherwise what is left?
