Lacey PD: Crow Bar Used to Break Into Vehicle

A suspect used a crow bar to pry open the trunk of a vehicle, though – despite a hefty amount of damage – nothing was ultimately stolen.

According to police, between 1 a.m. and 2 a.m. Dec. 28, an unknown person or persons utilized a crow bar in an attempt to pry open the trunk of a vehicle parked in a driveway on the 200 block of Richard Place in Forked River.

The owner of the vehicle reported that nothing appeared to be missing from the vehicle, though damage is estimated at $1,200.

A neighbor, police said, observed a white minivan in the area at approximately 6 a.m. When the neighbor approached the white mini-van, the vehicle reportedly sped off.
