A 22-year-old Lacey man was one of four people indicted Wednesday on weapons on charges connected to a recent incident in Long Branch, according to Monmouth County Courthouse records.
Charles Othello was charged with unlawful possession of a weapon after he was found with a handgun on Feb. 22, according to court records.
Othello and three others face gun charges: Aaron Esdaile, 23, of Asbury Park; Darious Russell, 34, of Cliffwood; and Zedoria Durant, 34, of Eatowntown, according to court records.
Court records say the defendants did not have a permit for the gun but did intend to use it.
Othello was also charged with hindering apprehension. Othello was also prohibited from having a weapon because of his June 19, 2009 conviction on aggravated assault and unlawful possession of a weapons charges.
