Lacey Man Charged With DUI, Reckless Driving After Stop Near McDonald's

A Lacey man was charged with DUI and other motor vehicle charges after a traffic stop near the McDonald's on Route 9, police said.

According to Lacey police:

At 12:56 a.m., Officer Dimitri Tsarnas conducted a traffic stop in the parking lot of Lacey McDonald’s at 404 Route 9 North in Lanoka Harbor. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, 55-year-old Jeffrey Benner of Bowsprit Point in Lanoka Harbor for DUI.

He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Jeffrey Benner was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, Reckless Driving, Failure to Maintain Lane, Driving While Suspended, and Failure to Exhibit Documents. During the course of the investigation, a Tinton Falls warrant in the amount of $186.00 was located for Jeffrey Benner. Jeffrey Benner posted full bail on the warrant. The vehicle Jeffrey Benner was driving was impounded pursuant to John’ s Law.
