Lacey Man Charged With Damaging Neighbor's Pool Pipe

DWI arrests and thefts from the last week

A local man received a summons after allegedly damaging a neighbor’s backwash pipe for the pool, police said.

Police reported to Windsor Street on July 17 on a report of someone causing $20 of damage to the backwash pipe of the pool. Police responded to the same home on July 21 when the pipe was actually cut off.

Investigation led to Robert Bender, 55, of Forked River receiving a special complaint summons for criminal mischief for damaging the pipe.

July 21
Kane Corliss, 32, of Little Egg Harbor was arrested on a DWI charge at 11:38 p.m. Police were initially dispatched to Lacey Road by the Bamber Lake Fire Company for a possible disabled vehicle. Cane was found in his pickup truck and received tickets for DWI, no seatbelt and reckless driving.

July 21
Police reported to Dolan Street, Lanoka Harbor where a 1974 12-foot Starcraft aluminum boat was stolen. The boat was valued at $500 and stored on the beach. 

July 19
Kristen Senatore, 22, of Belleville was travelling in a vehicle south on Route 9 without headlights on at 1:46 a.m. A motor vehicle stop was conducted and she received tickets for DWI, reckless driving and no headlights. 

July 19
A resident of Lakeside Drive East reported that a vehicle parked on the property sustained damage.

Someone cut the serpentine tank valued at $50. Damage was also done to engines, the valve cover, break fluid cover and air cleaner.

A resident of Laurel Boulevard reported that a Kirk Steiff Royal Dynasty sterling silverware set for 12 valued at $6,000 was stolen. There was no forced entry.

July 19
A resident of Fanwood Road in Forked River reported that between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m., someone entered an unlocked vehicle and stole a bi-fold wallet, $350 in cash and personal identification. The total value of the stolen items was $511. 

July 18
At 8:30 a.m. an officer observed traffic stalled at the intersection of Lacey Road and Route 9. As the traffic light cycled, a vehicle was discovered stopped on Lacey Road westbound.

Investigation led to the discovery of David Roeber, who was in the first vehicle stopped at the light asleep behind the wheel, police said.

Roeber was charged with DWI, refusal to submit to a breath test and reckless driving.

July 18
Residents of Orchard Street in Lanoka Harbor reported that two rings were stolen. One ring was valued at $1,500 and the other was valued at $2,000. There was no forced entry.

July 17
A resident of Spruce Street in Forked River reported that several items of jewelry were stolen. There was no forced entry and the value has yet to be determined. 

July 17
Police responded to Heron Court in Forked River where a forced entry was made into a home. Jewelry, an Xbox 360 Elite, cash and other miscellaneous items valued more than $1,000 was stolen.
