Lacey Man Broke Into Community Hall, Cops Say

Shoplifting, DUI and warrant arrests

A Forked River man was arrested after he broke into Community Hall, police said.

Officer Julie Barcalow arrested James T. Cort, 51, on March 21 at 11:20 p.m.

Cort allegedly forced open a window and entered Community Hall located at the intersection of Route 9 and Lacey Road, police said.

He was charged with criminal mischief and trespassing. Cort was sent to Ocean County Jail with bail set at $2,500.

March 25
Officer Andrew Slota arrested Grady T. Toughill, 26, of Bayville for shoplifting one DVD, valued at $14.96, from Walmart. Toughill was processed and released.

March 24
At approximately 10:08 p.m., Officer Dimitrios Tsarnas responded to the area of Beach Boulevard and Biscayne Drive for a report of a disturbance following a road rage incident.

The driver, Joseph Rupp, 26, of Forked River was arrested for DUI and his vehicle was impounded. Rupp received summonses for DUI and reckless driving. He was released after he was processed.

March 22
Officer Paul Sullivan, Jr. arrested Sean Kelly, 27, of South Toms River for a $200 warrant issued by the Jackson Township Municipal Court. Kelly could not post bail and was turned over to the Jackson Township Police Department.

March 21
At approximately 11:44 p.m., Officers Julie Barcalow and Charles May stopped a vehicle for driving on the wrong side of Lacey Road.

The driver, Krystina Piccuirro, 29, of Waretown was arrested for DUI and her vehicle was impounded.

Piccuirro received summonses for DUI, reckless driving and failure to maintain lane. Piccuirro processed and released.
