Lacey Man Accused of Stealing Bike From High School

18-year-old suspect released on summons

An 18-year-old Lacey man has been charged with stealing a bicycle from the rack at Lacey Township High School, police said.

Timothy Vecci, of the township's Lanoka Harbor section, was charged with the theft and released on a summons last Thursday, according to police.

Earlier that day, officers responded to the high school after the bicycle’s owner reported that his Diamond Back, 18-speed, mountain bike was stolen from the bike rack in front of the main entrance of the school. The owner noticed the bicycle missing at dismissal time, police said.

The bicycle was valued at approximately $330.
