A 53-year-old Lacey man was charged recently with reckless driving, DUI and speeding, police said.
On Friday, Jan. 31, at 11:46 p.m., Officer Peter Donahue conducted a traffic stop on Lake Barnegat Drive North and Easy Street in Forked River. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of the driver, Timothy Mason of Serpentine Drive, for DUI, police said.
He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Mason was released after receiving traffic summonses for DUI, DUI refusal, reckless driving, speeding, and failure to maintain lane.
His passenger, the registered owner of the vehicle, identified as 57-year-old Suyuan C. Mason, was issued a traffic summons for allowing the driver to operate her vehicle DUI.
The vehicle Mason was operating was impounded pursuant to John’s Law.
