Lacey Juvenile Charged With Underage Drinking After Treatment For Alcohol Poisoning

Investigation continuing, further charges expected

Lacey police recently arrested a female juvenile for underage drinking at a private residence after she was treated for alcohol poisoning, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Patrolmen Scott Keefe, Charles May and Peter Donahue responded to a call about a suspicious incident in the 500 block of Tappan Street in Forked River at 10:35 p.m. on March 21, the chief said.

The caller reported observing a juvenile female being carried into the residence by four people and was concerned for her safety. Investigation at the scene determined that the 15-year-old juvenile female was intoxicated as a result of consuming alcoholic beverages at another residence located on the 1200 block of Taylor Lane in Forked River Paprota said.

The female juvenile was transported to Community Medical Center for treatment of alcohol poisoning. She was later charged on a juvenile complaint for underage consumption of alcohol in a private residence, the chief said.

The incident is under investigation and further charges are pending.
