Lacey Man Charged in Theft

Cops: township man stole $4K coin collection

Township police recently arrested and charged a Forked River man for a theft from a residence initially reported Sept. 9.

Michael Corliss, Jr., 22, of Constitution Drive, was charged after a fellow Constitution Drive resident reported several items missing from his home, one being an antique coin set valued at $4,000, according to a report from police.

An investigation led to the arrest of Corliss, who allegedly stole the coins while residing with the victim and later sold them, police said.

Corliss was charged by detectives with theft and released on his own recognizance pending a court appearance.
