Lacey Cops Make Arrest in Forked River Burglary

Three week-long investigation led to arrest

Lacey police have charged a township resident in the burglary of a Bowline Drive home that was reported in late November.

A three week-long investigation led to the arrest of Jeffrey Polyak, 30, on Dec. 17, police said.

The Bowline Drive home was forcibly entered by means of a bedroom window being pried open while the residents were not home, police said in a statement.

Polyak was charged with burglary as well as theft of movable property – $7,500 worth of jewelry. He was transported to the Ocean County Jail with bail set at $25,000.
