Lacey Cops Arrest Township Man, 24, in Year-Old Burglary

Prescription drugs were taken in March 2012 burglary

Fingerprints led to the arrest of a Forked River man who is accused of breaking into a township pharmacy in 2012 and stealing prescription drugs.

Police on Friday arrested Daniel Costantini, 24, in the March 10, 2012 burglary of Forked River Pharmacy, police said in a statement Sunday.

After the burglary, in which a rear door had been pried open and prescription drugs stolen, township police and the Ocean County Sheriff's Department collected evidence, including fingerprints, the statement said. On Friday, fingerprints recovered at the original scene in 2012 were matched to fingerprints in the criminal record database, police said.

Costantini, who was arrested at his home, has been charged with burglary, theft of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, and criminal mischief.

He was transported to the Ocean County Jail after being unable to post $50,000 bail.
