Injured ATV Drivers in Stable Condition

Two quad drivers suffered internal injuries after a collision off of Route 539

Two patients who were airlifted to Jersey Shore Medical Center on April 2 after an ATV crash in Lacey are listed in stable condition, said Maureen Gillespie, spokesperson for the hospital.

Jordan Penna, 19, of Little Egg Harbor and Brooke Lazok, 18, of Forked River are in stable condition after in the Greenwood Forest off of Route 539 and Bloody Ridge Road.

Both Lazok and Penna suffered internal injuries and were airlifted to the hospital, police said. Although Lazok and Penna were wearing helmets, Penna suffered a head injury and lost consciousness for a short period of time after the crash.

Penna and Lazok were issued summonses for reckless driving, driving unregistered vehicles and driving vehicles not covered by insurance.

Lacey Township Police Department, Bamber Lake Fire Company, Forked River Fire Company, Lacey EMS and Paramedics from MONOC responded to the scene.
