Get Ready To Rumble Again This Weekend - More Mortar Firing Training On Tap
Noise from firing may travel farther if skies are overcast
The Joint Base McGuire-Dix-Lakehurst is hosting the 1st Battalion, 181st Infantry Regiment from Massachusetts on Friday and Saturday for mortar firing training.
The firing will run until 11 p.m. each day, according to the base.
"As a result of this important training, some residents may hear more noise than usual coming from our ranges and may experience possible ground shaking," a base release states.
Noise from the firing ranges may travel farther during overcast weather conditions, according to the base.
