Four Arrested After Two-Week Narcotic Distribution Investigation

Two were charged with intent to distribute heroin and distribution within 1,000 feet of the Forked River Elementary School

Four Forked River residents were arrested in relation to a two-week narcotic distribution investigation, Detective Sgt. Chris Cornelius said.

A motor vehicle stop was conducted on Friday, April 27 that led to the arrest of Ashley Frank, 19, Matthew Lonsdale, 30, Charles Dekker, 23 and Kurt Thatcher, 21. Following a search of the vehicle, police found narcotics including heroin, hypodermic syringes and other assorted drug paraphernalia.

Frank and Lonsdale were charged with possession of heroin, possession with intent to distribute heroin and distribution within 1,000 feet of the Forked River Elementary School.

Dekker was charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe. He also had an outstanding $25,000 Ocean County warrant.

Thatcher was charged with possession of a hypodermic syringe and having a controlled dangerous substance in a motor vehicle.

Lonsdale and Thatcher were released on summonses. Frank was sent to the Ocean County Jail on $50,000 cash bail and Dekker was sent to jail in lieu of the warrant.

Frank has been previously arrested in relation to an and received a summons for in May 2011.

Lonsdale was and charged with possession of heroin and drug paraphernalia after a Clairmore Avenue drug raid.

Dekker was for breaking into a building on F street, theft and criminal mischief.
