Forked River Woman Charged With Drunk Driving After Three-Car Crash

Five other people received minor injuries

Lacey police recently arrested a Forked River woman after a three-car accident near Beach Boulevard and Biscayne Drive, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officers John McKee, Adam Ewart, and Peter Donahue responded to the location at 8:54 p.m. on May 16 and discovered that three cars were involved, the chief said.

Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Lorraine Campbell, 51, Penguin Court in Forked River for driving under the influence. Campbell was taken to Community Medical Center in River due to an injury sustained during the accident, Paprota said.

The two other drivers and three passengers received non-life threatening injuries and were also taken to Community Medical Center for treatment, the chief said.

Campbell was also later charged with reckless driving, and failure to maintain a lane, Paprota said.
