Forked River Man Served Tickets After Quad Accident

Motor vehicle stops; DWI, drug and shoplifting arrests

A Forked River man received four citations after an accident on a quad on April 2.

Keith Brennan, 38, was operating a quad on Renee Court with an 11-year-old male passenger when he allegedly caused it to lift off the ground and land on its side.

Police and first aid squads responded to the scene at 7:30 p.m. The 11-year-old was evaluated but was not transported for treatment.

Brennan received citations for driving while suspended, careless driving, driving an unregistered vehicle and driving without insurance.

Warren Sherard, 45, of Bayville was pulled over on a motor vehicle stop and was found to have a $600 warrant from Lacey Township Court. While at the police department, he was able to post bail and was released.

Police responded to a home on Orlando Drive for a damaged mailbox. Someone’s mailbox was smashed causing $50 in damage. While police were at the home, another nearby resident reported a damaged mailbox. The value was unknown.

Joseph Daniels, 20, of Howell was arrested at Walmart after allegedly shoplifting $73 worth of merchandise. He was taken to the police department where he was processed and released.

Police responded to a residence on Station Drive in Forked River. A Resident reported that their home was burglarized and items as well as $800 in cash were taken. There was no sign of forced entry.

Maksim Sidorov, 37, of Brooklyn, New York was pulled over for speeding on Route 9 near Mill Street. Investigation led to his arrest and he was charged with DWI, reckless driving and speeding.

Wenzel Zaruba, 24, of Forked River was stopped for speeding on Bay Way at 5:15 p.m. Investigation led to his arrest for allegedly hindering apprehension and obstruction of the administration of law. Zaruba allegedly provided false information concerning his identity to an officer.

A warrant of $5,000 was issued. In addition to the above offenses, Zaruba received tickets for speeding and an expired drivers license. He was sent to jail in lieu of his bail.

A resident on Buena Vista Road in Forked River reported that aluminum from a shed that had been torn down in the backyard was stolen while it was being stored on the property. Approximately $500 worth in scarp metal was stolen.

March 27
Samantha Sisler, 23, of North Carolina was arrested and charged with possession of a controlled dangerous substance and possession of a hypodermic syringe and was served a ticket for having a controlled dangerous substance in the motor vehicle.

Police found Sisler in a vehicle parked at the end of Laurel Boulevard where the gazebo is located at 11:30 p.m.
