Forked River Man Indicted on Theft and Criminal Mischief Charges

Others indicted on drug charges

A Forked River man is charged with breaking into a building on F Street in Lacey, stealing a trailer and its contents, and damaging other property there.

Charles M. Dekker, 22, of Pensacola Road, Forked River, is accused of the April 14 entry, theft and criminal mischief, according to an Ocean County grand jury.

Charles M. Dekker, 42, of Nautilus Blvd., Forked River, is accused of hindering efforts by police to arrest the younger Dekker on April 15 by giving false information to authorities.

The grand jury also indicted:

Albert Rentas, 57, of Ridgemont Drive, Lanoka Harbor, for allegedly stealing a 2000 Honda Odyssey from Barbara Smith in Lacey on June 22.

Ryan K. Bacon, 25, of Lakeside Drive North, Forked River, for allegedly having heroin there June 22.

Renae H. Milko, 21, of Brookdale Park Drive, Forked River, for allegedly stealing jewelry from Barbara C. Jones and Janet M. Brook in Toms River on June 12 and Gertrude Hankins on June 18 in Lacey.

Shayne T. Macavoy, 20, of Route 9, Toms River, and Chelsea J. Horton, 19, of Hazelton Avenue, Lanoka Harbor, for allegedly having heroin May 11 in Toms River. Macavoy is also accused of having the drug and planning to distribute it and having methadone.

Ashley M. Cornelius, 20, of Hilltop Court, Lanoka Harbor, for allegedly having heroin and planning to distribute it on Dec. 14 in Toms River and having the drug again on Feb. 23.

Dawn M. Sansone, 33, of Forked River, for allegedly having heroin April 4 in Toms River.

Having lost my own daughter to this, I pray that these kids get the help and support they need to beat this addiction....wake up Lacey....there is a huge heroin problem in this township

At least they are getting people for real drugs like heroin and pills and not something silly like pot.

YOU send these people to rehab in the area ,They are combined with the people in the next level above dealing this stuff .So when they get out of rehab they have a better drug connection then before..They need to be sent out of the county or state..( further away)

youre right teej but somehow the penalties for pot are just as bad as heroin which makes no sense. i,ve never heard of anyone breaking into homes or robbing people for pot. the worst thing since crack to happen was this hillbilly heroin in pill form called oxycodone or oxycontin all the same. i dont know why they like it i had to take it for 3 days after surgery and i felt sick, jittery and cold sweats etc. i could have just as easily drank 8 cups of coffee and ran into a wall to get that feeling again.
