Forked River Man Found Passed Out In Car Charged With Drunk Driving

Police found Michael Clark apparently sleeping in the driver's seat, with the car running and flashers on


Lacey police recently arrested a Forked River man and charged him with driving under the influence after they found him passed out in his GMC Suburban with the motor running, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Dimitri Tsarnas responded to the area of Lakeside Drive North and Kearney Drive in Forked River on June 29 on a at 4:52 p.m. on a report of a driver passed out behind the wheel of a vehicle, the chief said.

When he arrived Tsarnas saw Michael Clark, 42, Tappan Street, in the driver's seat, with the motor running and the vehicle's flashers on, Paprota said.

Clark was charged with DUI, reckless driving and driving with an open container of alcohol beverage in a motor vehicle. The Suburban was impounded pursuant to John's Law, the chief said.
