Forked River Man Facing Drug Charges


A 30-year-old Forked River man was arrested on drug charges after a traffic stop on Laurel Boulevard in Lanoka Harbor recently, Police Chief David A. Paprota said.

Officer Peter Donahue conducted the stop at 7:58 p.m. on March 11. Investigation at the scene led to the arrest of Kevin J. Kennedy of Compass Road in Forked River, the chief said.

Kennedy was charged with conspiracy to possess a controlled dangerous substance, possession of a hypodermic syringe, and possession of drug paraphernalia, Paprota said.

He was transported to police headquarters and processed. Kennedy was released after receiving a criminal summons for the violations.
